Lisa Dickinson from UK outlaw rockers NEMHAIN, playing her Ravelle Bass at the Metal Female Voices Fest IX held October 21-23 in Wieze, Belgium.

Posted on their website, "The band are currently writing their second album, and their plans for 2011 include recording, releasing and touring it, playing lots of festivals, and drinking every bar dry on their way!"

Marissa Martinez, rhythm guitarist for the so called "most influential grindcore band of all time", REPULSION, has picked up a Revolver Elite Limited for upcoming shows. Joining lead guitarist Matt Olivo, who also picked up a Revolver Elite Limited earlier this year.

We welcome Tano Romano from iconic Argentinian metal bands HERMETICA and MALON.

After a long absence, Claudio O'Connor, lead singer of the band and Tano, announce the return of the band with the original lineup, with its first show on December 18th to be held at the Microestadio Malvinas Argentinas, which will be recorded and released on DVD in 2012. In addition, the band announced the recording of a new studio album, to be launched by mid next year.

We had the chance to talk to New York guitar virtuoso and Sustainer artist Joel Hoekstra who currently plays for Night Ranger, the Broadway hit 'Rock of Ages' and Trans Siberian Orchestra. Joel is currently touring with Night Ranger and be can heard on their new cd 'Somewhere in California'. Recently, he had the pleasure of filling in for Mick Jones of Foreigner. Joel's cd's 'undefined', 'The Moon is Falling' and '13 acoustic songs' have found a strong cult following and critical acclaim.

1. How did you first hear of Fernandes guitars and the Sustainer?

I had always seen the ads in Guitar Player, but the first time I played with one was on a Phil Collen model Jackson.

2. How has the Fernandes Sustainer changed your playing and music?

Well, it provides me with a confidence to go for a note and know that it is going to sing just the way the way I want it to. That, in turn, frees me up to perform a bit more.

Fernandes had a great time exhibiting at South America's biggest music trade show, EXPOMUSIC 2011 held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, September 23-25.

SOULFLY has completed recording its new studio album for an early 2012 release via Roadrunner Records, with none other that our own Tony Campos on bass duties, pictured tracking with his Tony Campos Signature Tremor 5 bass.

The band's July 31 performance at the Lokerse festival in Lokeren, Belgium, marked Tony's debut appearance with SOULFLY.

Tony adds SOULFLY to his constantly-updated resume of iconic metal and industrial bands such as STATIC-X, PRONG, ASESINO, MINISTRY and POSSESSED.

STEVE VAI is featured on classical guitarist SHARON ISBIN’s new release “Guitar Passions”, performing a Sustainer-enhanced improvisation on “Allegro” by Agustín Barrios Mangoré.
