About Roblox FPS Unlocker
Roblox FPS Unlocker (RFU) is a lightweight Windows utility that removes the default 60 frames-per-second cap in the Roblox client. It lets capable PCs render Roblox above 60 FPS on high-refresh-rate monitors, giving smoother camera movement and more responsive input during both play and creation.
The tool is free and open-source, developed by axstin and community contributors on GitHub. It is an unlocker rather than a booster: it removes an artificial limit but does not modify graphics settings, overclock hardware, or otherwise create performance that a system cannot already deliver.
RFU runs as a small portable app with no traditional installer. Users can launch it before or after Roblox, set custom FPS cap values through a settings file, and cycle between targets from the tray icon. It supports both the Roblox Player and Roblox Studio for frame-rate testing.
FPS Unlocker never requires a Roblox account, password, or Robux access, and it installs no bundled software. It is designed for Windows and works best with a monitor above 60 Hz, updated GPU drivers, and full power settings. Behavior can vary with newer, Hyperion-protected Roblox clients.
