About OldTweetDeck

OldTweetDeck is a browser extension that restores the classic, column-based TweetDeck experience for X (Twitter). After installation, opening x.com/i/tweetdeck loads the old multi-column dashboard, letting power users monitor timelines, searches, lists, mentions and notifications side by side on a single screen.

The project is free and open-source, created by the developer dimdenGD. Because the code is public, anyone can inspect it before installing or contribute improvements. It is distributed as an extension package through the project's official GitHub releases rather than as a standard installer.

OldTweetDeck focuses on the dense, fast-scanning workflow long-time TweetDeck users prefer. It supports Chromium browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi, and works on Firefox through the Nightly or Developer Edition builds. It has shipped across multiple releases and continues to be maintained.

The extension works with the X (Twitter) account already signed in to the browser, so no separate account or login is required. It restores the TweetDeck interface locally in the browser and does not act as a separate social network or cloud service. Safari is not supported.
